NPQ for SENCOs

What will I learn on this programme?

This practical, evidence-informed programme will develop your expertise in leading SEND provision across your setting.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Identify and assess SEND effectively
  • Understand and apply statutory SEND legislation
  • Lead a culture of inclusion
  • Work in partnership with families, colleagues and external agencies
  • Create whole-school approaches that support every learner

Modules include:

  • Inclusive culture and leadership
  • Identification and assessment of SEND
  • Statutory frameworks and SEND policy
  • Working in partnership with stakeholders
  • Implementation and school improvement

The course includes 10 modules with approximately 4 hours of independent study per module. You’ll take part in online seminars, two conferences and complete visits to other settings.

You’ll also complete a practical improvement project based on your own school context.
